Werewolf Gorge

Though not much has visibly changed at its construction site, Fiesta Texas placed Werewolf Gorge teasers in the park, including this gigantic crate in Crackaxle Canyon.

Ride Refurbishments

Dare Devil Dive Flying Machines has been under refurbishment for several months at this point.

Crews were actively working to bring the ride back together during our visit.

DC Super-Villains Swing is also still undergoing refurbishment with most of the ride missing from its in-park home.

Currently, there is no public timeline for DC Super-Villains Swing’s reopening.

La Cocina de Cobre

Fiesta Texas continues construction on their newest restaurant offering, La Cocina de Cobre.

The restaurant’s serving line has been completely enclosed and is undergoing renovations.

La Cocina de Cobre will offer up authentic Tex-Mex menu items.

The restaurant was previously Bubba’s River Cafe prior to its closure at the beginning of 2026.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas has officially unveiled its 2027 project: Werewolf Gorge. The new family coaster will feature multiple launches with a heavily integrated theme and storyline. Though the construction site hasn’t changed, teasers continue to pop up around the park. Ride refurbishments continue, along with the introduction of a new Tex-Mex restaurant, La Cocina de Cobre.

Not much has visibly changed with Fiesta Texas’ 2027 mystery project. The area is mostly unchanged since the removal of Whirlpool and Big Bender water slides. However, several teasers have been posted, including new signage that leads to a clue-filled phone recording. Bubba’s River Cafe has officially closed to make way for a new restaurant concept this season.

Quick work has been made of Hurricane Harbor’s two slide removals, Big Bender and Whirlpool. Teasers have been posted in the park hinting at a replacement attraction for the area. Theming upgrades have resumed at Chupacabra with a permanent main entrance sign now in place.

Summer has begun at Six Flags Fiesta Texas and projects aimed at enhancing guest experience continue to move forward. A drink refill station is in the works for Rockville, while DC Universe will soon have a new permanent bar. Sangerfest Halle has reopened with a fresh kitchen and serving area and features new menu offerings. Plus, Hurricane Harbor has reopened for a closer look at two off-season water slide removals.

Now that Fiesta Texas has opened up their DC Universe expansion, much of the focus shifts over to dining experiences. Pete’s Eats recently reopened with a kitchen and serving counter refresh to increase efficiency. The next phase of Sangerfest Halle’s refresh is moving forward. The food hall’s kitchen and serving area are undergoing a full refresh. Once complete, Sangerfest Halle will feature more seating, multiple refill locations and new menu offerings.

Testing goes into full swing for Cyborg: Cyber Revolution and Shazam! Tower of Eternity, two new rides soon to debut in the expanded DC Universe section. Batman: The Ride has reopened with a fresh paint job and Goliath continues its transformation into Chupacabra. Dining upgrades are under way with a major remodel in progress for Pete’s Eats.
