Texas’ Short-Lived Racing Roller Coaster
Featuring a footprint of under 14,000 square feet, Kid Flash Cosmic Coaster was a first-of-its-kind family racing coaster. The compact attraction featured a height of 24.5 feet and a cumulative track length of 1,124 feet. Its twisting, single rail design presented opportunities for each track layout to dive over and under each other a dozen times during the ride cycle. Unfortunately, Kid Flash Cosmic Coaster was plagued with mechanical and design problems from the start. The attraction has been standing, but not operating since July of 2024. The ride is expected to be removed in the near future.
Replacing an Original, LED Lighting Package
The Kid Flash Cosmic Coaster resided in the former location of the Fender Bender bumper cars, expanding the park’s DC Universe area. Kid Flash Cosmic Coaster, the first family racing coaster in America, also featured the an Aurora LED lighting package from Skyline Attractions. The multitude of LED panels transformed the coaster’s track into an impressive display of customizable lighting patterns.
