Mardi Gras Festival is the "youngest" special event/festival to hit the Six Flags chain of theme parks. Started in the spring of 2017, Mardi Gras Festival originated at Six Flags Mexico and Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Later on in the year guests at Six Flags St. Louis also had the pleasure of enjoying the festival.
The event includes tons of specialty food and drink, live entertainment, and decor throughout various sections of the park. A parade, featuring genuine Mardi Gras floats, also operates in the park. Mardi Gras Festival expanded in 2018 with new food and drink options, the addition of three new parade floats, an extended line-up of Mardi Gras-specific entertainment, and even a nighttime parade on select dates. Fiesta Texas is currently the only park in the Six Flags chain offering a Mardi Gras-themed event.
Mardi Gras Festival features an impressive daily parade and live music options found throughout the park, free with park admission.
