Celebrating its 30th anniversary at the park, Fright Fest haunts Six Flags Fiesta Texas on select dates between September 11 and November 1. Attractions listings will populate below as they are confirmed for the 2026 season!
Fright Fest officially began at Fiesta Texas in 1996 after Time Warner and Six Flags took over management of the park. Fiesta Texas notorious for award-winning live entertainment and Fright Fest is no exception. With its current inception beginning in 2001, Monster Mash Bash helped win Fiesta Texas the Golden Ticket for “Best Theme Park Shows” ten years in a row. The production continues to be a popular Halloween staple.
Today, Six Flags Fiesta Texas provides guests with numerous live shows, haunted houses and scare zones. The park continues to extend their offerings, including a haunting refresh of Poltergeist and a growing selection of large-scale, spooky decor pieces and new themes that refresh the award-winning Monster Mash Bash.

Fright Fest features six haunted houses with ties to well-known horror franchises and a handful of Fiesta Texas originals.

Haunted Attractions Passes
A Haunted Attractions Pass is required to experience haunted houses. The rates listed below fluctuate depending on the date. New for 2026, haunt access is now managed through the Haunted Attractions Pass portal. Guests can view haunted house statuses, along with make purchases, directly on their mobile device. Pass holders with Haunted Attractions Pass privileges can also activate their perks within the portal.

Interactive Lanterns

Interactive lanterns make their return for Fright Fest 2026. These lanterns give guests the ability to activate several interactive lighting and audio features throughout the park. Users can also interact and “tag” other guests. Lanterns are available at most major shopping locations.

Helpful information to get the most out of your visit to Fright Fest at Fiesta Texas.

To help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests, Six Flags Fiesta Texas enforces a chaperone policy during Fright Fest.
All guests ages 15 and younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old after 4:00 p.m. through park closing.
The chaperone must present a valid government-issued photo ID with proof of age upon entry.
One chaperone may supervise up to ten (10) guests ages 15 and younger.
The chaperone must enter the park with their group, remain inside the park during the visit, and be available by phone at all times.
Guests ages 15 and younger who are found without their chaperone may be removed from the park.
This policy applies to all guests, including Season Pass Holders and Members.

For the safety of our scare actors and guests—and to preserve the immersive experience—no cameras, photography, video recording, or audio recording of any kind is permitted inside haunted mazes. This includes the use of cell phones, smartwatches, GoPros, camera eyeglasses, body cameras, or any other recording-capable device.
Guests observed using recording devices inside haunted mazes may be subject to removal from the park without refund.

To maintain a safe and family-friendly environment, the following costume and mask guidelines are in place at Six Flags Fiesta Texas:
Guests Ages 12 and Under
Children 12 and under may wear costumes, masks, and full-face makeup when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Please note:
Full costumes, masks, and full-face makeup are permitted only when accompanied by an adult.
Inflatable costumes are not allowed.
Children not accompanied by an adult may not wear masks or full-face makeup.
Toy guns, pitchforks, weapons of any kind, and bloody or "bleeding" costume accessories are strictly prohibited.
Guests Ages 13 and Older
Guests 13 and older are welcome to dress up and join the fun.
Please note:
Costumes are permitted; however, masks are not allowed.
Face makeup must be limited to no more than half of the face.
Handheld props and accessories are not permitted.
Costumes must be family-friendly and appropriate for all guests.

Fright Fest operates on select evenings from September 11 to November 1 during the 2026 season. A full calendar of operating hours can be found at the park's main website.

We do not have a 100% guaranteed solution for avoiding crowds. This is one of the busiest times of the year to visit a Six Flags park. However, there are a few methods we have tried in the past that have helped:
Go earlier in the season. Fright Fest starts in September. You will likely not run into the heavy crowds that are present the closer it gets to Halloween.
Go on an off-day. Have you thought about going to Fright Fest during the week on a Friday? This has sometimes been a great way to avoid the weekend crowd.
Do not go on coupon dates. If there is a deal for bringing friends free or discounted tickets we highly recommend that you do not go to the park if you are bothered by large crowds.
Try going on a Sunday. This isn't always the case, but sometimes Sunday is a less-crowded day than Saturday. We still think the closer it gets to Halloween the busier Sundays will inevitably get.

A highlight of the Halloween season is the park’s live entertainment offerings. We recommend arriving to venues earlier than usual to ensure admittance. Show schedules, when available, are listed on our Entertainment page.

Due to its content, Fright Fest is not recommended for guests under 13. During the day, Six Flags Fiesta Texas offers Tricks and Treats, a family-friendly Halloween alternative.

During the day, scare zones do not feature any monsters. However, once night falls, all scare zones are filled with scary characters with the sole intent to frighten the guests around them. Please note that many park attractions cannot be accessed without traveling through various scare zones within the park.
