New rides and attractions construction, in-park projects, ride removals and other significant changes.
Werewolf Gorge (Update 3), Kid Flash Cosmic Coaster Removal
Werewolf Gorge, the multi-launch family roller coaster slated to debut at Six Flags Fiesta Texas for 2027, has not seen a lot of construction progress since its announcement at the end of May. Visually, only new markers have been placed throughout the construction site. Kid Flash Cosmic Coaster, which had been SBNO since July 2024, has been fully removed from DC Universe.
Big Bender & Whirlpool Removal, Chupacabra Theming Changes
Quick work has been made of Hurricane Harbor’s two slide removals, Big Bender and Whirlpool. Teasers have been posted in the park hinting at a replacement attraction for the area. Theming upgrades have resumed at Chupacabra with a permanent main entrance sign now in place.
Hurricane Harbor Slide Removal, New Refill Stations, Sangerfest Halle Refresh
Summer has begun at Six Flags Fiesta Texas and projects aimed at enhancing guest experience continue to move forward. A drink refill station is in the works for Rockville, while DC Universe will soon have a new permanent bar. Sangerfest Halle has reopened with a fresh kitchen and serving area and features new menu offerings. Plus, Hurricane Harbor has reopened for a closer look at two off-season water slide removals.
Family Racing Coaster (Update 2), Fender Bender (Update 2) & Other Park Updates
Demolition continues on the park’s former Fender Bender attraction. The building itself has been completely torn down, though various components still await removal from the park. Fiesta Texas also continues various projects around the park, including adding a public model of the new-for-2023 family racing coaster.
Family Racing Coaster, Fender Bender (Update 1), Roller Coaster Coffee & Other Projects
New for 2023 is the soon-to-be-named Family Racing Coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Crews have begun demolition of the former Fender Bender building to make way for the new attraction. Other projects, such as the debut of Roller Coaster Coffee, are also under way.
