Mardi Gras Festival 2019 Guide

January 19 - March 3, 2019

About Mardi Gras Festival

Mardi Gras Festival is the "youngest" special event/festival to hit the Six Flags chain of theme parks. Started in the Spring of 2017, Mardi Gras Festival originated at Six Flags Mexico and Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Later on in the year guests at Six Flags St. Louis also had the pleasure of enjoying the festival.

The event includes tons of specialty food and drink, live entertainment, and decor throughout various sections of the park. A parade, featuring genuine Mardi Gras floats, also operates in the park. Mardi Gras Festival expanded in 2017 with new food and drink options, the addition of three new parade floats, an extended line-up of Mardi Gras-specific entertainment, and even a nighttime parade on select dates.

Diamond/Diamond Elite Perks

  • Look for the “diamond” symbol in the guide above as these signify important Mardi Gras Festival perks available to Diamond and Diamond Elite member holders.

Watching the Parade

  • The parade travels from Rockville (near the entrance of Fiesta Bay Boardwalk) to Spassburg (near Lone Star Lil’s Amphitheater). Pathways within Fiesta Texas will have a golden border outlining the parade route. We recommend lining up to watch the parade in advance to ensure you have a good viewing spot.

  • Don’t forget that beads are thrown from the parade floats. Be prepared!

Specialty Foods

  • Fiesta Texas offers numerous specialty foods throughout the festival that are not available during other times of the year. Have a Dining Pass? Many of these options can be obtained with your Dining Pass meal and snack credits. View the “Specialty Food & Drink” section above for more information.
