DC Universe Expansion (Update 3)
Work is picking up on preexisting attractions within the new DC Universe expansion at Fiesta Texas. The transformations into Supergirl Sky Flight, The Penguin: Gotham City Getaway and Batgirl Coaster Chase are in the early stages of their transformation as crews prepare them for a fresh coat of paint.
Six-Slide Hurricane Harbor Expansion (Update 1), DC Universe Expansion (Update 2)
Work is under way as Hurricane Harbor San Antonio, Fiesta Texas’ water park, begins the addition of six new children’s slides. Join us for a behind-the-scenes construction tour of the progress. Clearing also continues at the site of the new DC Universe expansion, which will be home to three new attractions in 2024.
Three-Ride DC Universe Expansion (Update 1)
Now that Kid Flash Cosmic Coaster has made its grand debut, the next phase of DC Universe transformations begin. Construction walls have gone up inside Thrill Seeker Park and demolition of both the children’s play ship attraction and the performance stage is under way. Sky Searcher and Rambling Road are also closed while the demolition progresses.
Kid Flash Cosmic Coaster (Update 7)
Kid Flash Cosmic Coaster’s ride area is shaping up as crews work on the finishing touches of the Aurora LED lighting panels and station structure. Surrounding work still taking place includes the queue line area, shade structures and an entrance portal.
Kid Flash Cosmic Coaster (Update 6)
Kid Flash Cosmic Coaster test runs are officially under way. Set to open in October, crews are actively working on constructing the coaster’s station, along with preparing the surrounding area for the ride’s entrance and queue line.
Kid Flash Cosmic Coaster (Update 5), Bucking Broncos Relocation
Since our last visit, installation of supports and track for Kid Flash Cosmic Coaster has been completed. Both trains have also been added to the track. Crews now work on installing the ride’s Aurora LED lighting system. Early work has also begun on the relocation of Bucking Broncos to Crackaxle Canyon.
Kid Flash Cosmic Coaster (Update 4), New Hurricane Harbor Slides, Circuit Breaker Go-Carts, New Fatburger Restaurant
Several track pieces and ride components have arrived on-site for Kid Flash Cosmic Coaster. Within the park, work is under way as crews prep to pour foundation for the new coaster. New children’s water slides set for Hurricane Harbor are also now on-site. Other park happenings include electric vehicle charging, new shade at security, the introduction of Fatburger and more.
Exclusive Construction Look: ESIX Gaming Coming to Six Flags Fiesta Texas
Today, Six Flags Fiesta Texas released details of their all-new, state-of-the-art gaming center, which will be known as ESIX Gaming. The new center will feature fifty gaming PC stations, a professional live streaming setup and other enhanced amenities. Kid Flash Cosmic Coaster (Update 3), Boomerang Upgrades, Thunder Beach Speedway (Update 1), Thrill Seeker Park Ride Rethemes
Fiesta Texas has tons of construction and refurbishment projects happening around the park. This includes upgrades to Boomerang’s track, along with the installation of a new braking system and soft harness train. New work is taking place at Thunder Beach Speedway, pointing to a possible electric go cart upgrade. Kid Flash Cosmic Coaster construction moves along, as well as the multiple ride refurbishments taking place in Thrill Seeker Park.
New VIP Lounge - Behind-the-Scenes Construction Tour
Later this season, Six Flags Fiesta Texas will introduce a new VIP lounge for park guests. Located in a second story location in Los Festivales, the new lounge will feature a drink station, couches and tables, balcony access, charging stations for electronic devices and more.
Family Racing Coaster (Update 2), Fender Bender (Update 2) & Other Park Updates
Demolition continues on the park’s former Fender Bender attraction. The building itself has been completely torn down, though various components still await removal from the park. Fiesta Texas also continues various projects around the park, including adding a public model of the new-for-2023 family racing coaster.
Family Racing Coaster, Fender Bender (Update 1), Roller Coaster Coffee & Other Projects
New for 2023 is the soon-to-be-named Family Racing Coaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas. Crews have begun demolition of the former Fender Bender building to make way for the new attraction. Other projects, such as the debut of Roller Coaster Coffee, are also under way.
Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger June Construction Tour & Queue Theming Reveal
Attendees of the park’s Roller Coaster Rodeo event were treated to an in-depth construction tour of Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger. The tour allowed close-up shots the ride’s structure and a better look at continued progress. Next, attendees were treated to a huge queue theming presentation, which took place inside Zaragoza Theatre.
Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger (Update 8), Fender Bender Refurb, Sangerfest Halle, Refreshment Projects
Several enhancement projects continue around the park, including fresh paint at the main entrance and on other structures. Work on Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger continues with crews actively working on the queue area, lift hill, final brake run and more. An extensive refurb project has also begun on the park’s Fender Bender attraction.
Dr. Diabolical's Cliffhanger (Update 7), Lone Star Lil's & Sangerfest Halle Progress
Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger has reached a milestone with all of its track and support components now in place. Crews begin working on other details, such as the transformation of the ride’s indoor queue and themed painting on supports. Across the park, Sangerfest Halle’s remodel continues with new themed facades, lighting, flooring and more.

Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger continues to shape up as nearly all the first drop, with the exception of the final top piece, has been installed. Crews have also begun working on paint detail to give texture to the attraction’s supports. Other park updates include the reopening of Sangerfest Halle, which is still under construction, and other various projects.

Work has excelled significantly on Fiesta Texas’ new 2022 roller coaster, Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger. The new B&M Dive Coaster now has a constructed lift hill and base of its first drop. The roller coaster is now a huge statement within the park’s skyline. The ride’s first drop is expected to be installed next.
Dr. D's Cliffhanger (Update 4), Other Park Updates
Work moves quickly on Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger as nearly all of the attraction’s lift hill has been installed. We also take a look at the ride’s indoor queue and progress on other segments of track, including the final brake run and turn into the station.
Dr. D's Cliffhanger (Update 3), Lone Star Lil's, Crackaxle Canyon Refresh
Construction of Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger, the park’s newest roller coaster, moves along as the transfer shed and track installation has begun. Enhancements continue in the Crackaxle Canyon park area with newly-painted buildings, along with a look at the current progress of Lone Star Lil’s Amphitheater’s updated paint scheme.
Dr. D's Cliffhanger (Update 2), Front Gate, New Paint & Restaurant Remodels
Several construction projects are happening around Fiesta Texas. Crews work to begin pouring footers for Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger, the ticket booths at the park’s front gate have been demolished, many structures in Crackaxle Canyon feature fresh paint, multiple restaurants are being remodeled and more.
